Information Technology Manager - Position and Responsibilities:

This leadership role is accountable for the company Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and operations. The IT Manager is responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of all third-party and internally managed IT infrastructure used to support all business processes across the company including vendor management, technology upgrades, standardization, security, compliance, and business continuity. The IT Manager is also responsible for operational and service management processes and will participate in the development and execution of the IT strategy aligning with the company's business strategy. The IT Manager will collaborate with leadership on leading, planning, execution, and delivery of projects through team leadership, innovation, and high-quality user support. The IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day IT team management and leadership, this includes strategically assessing and aligning team talent and skills with current and future IT needs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the applications organization to ensure it will contribute to the company achieving its goals

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop overall IT strategy aligning with company strategy, goals, and budgets.

  • Manage IT team, develop necessary skills and capabilities to meet organization needs and address new needs and skills gaps. ,

  • Develop and foster professional relationships with leaders and all colleagues across the company to influence how applications can add value.

  • Develop and enhance IT methodologies and processes to establish best practices and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Ensure applications processes (including external vendors) are conducted in alignment with corporate social responsibility, environmental, and technical policies, standards, and legislation.

  • Lead efforts to define and develop a comprehensive service support strategy, focusing on optimizing IT support processes, enhancing user experience, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.

  • Implement and manage application life cycle management status reporting, metrics and benchmarks.

  • Collaborate with external vendors to negotiate contracts, services, and costs for continuity of high-quality IT services.

  • Manage business information content and policies, ensuring integrity, availability, confidentiality, and compliance are met.

  • Implement strategies for efficient storage, retrieval, and archival of business-critical information

  • Implement best practices for effective service desk operations.

  • Serve as a key change agent within the business, advocating for innovative technology solutions, supporting operational readiness.

  • Facilitate clear communication and alignment between cross-functional teams.

  • Collaborate with external vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage third-party services to ensure the continuity of high-quality Information Technology services.

  • Maintain a governance model to ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Continuous development of a comprehensive Information Technology compliance, risk, and security strategy to safeguard systems and information, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.

  • Oversee systems and procedures required to ensure business continuity in the event of natural disasters, system failures, and other events that could disrupt operations.

  • Develop and execute IT resilience and continuity operations, including the establishment of effective disaster recovery plans and response mechanisms.

  • Conduct regular IT compliance assessments, analyze results, and implement corrective actions to ensure ongoing adherence to industry standards and regulations.

  • Resolve conflicting/competing resource requirements and user needs; as needed, escalate conflicts to leadership for decisions and actions.

  • Participate in professional organizations, trade/user groups, and attend industry conferences to enhance knowledge of current technology



Education, Experience and Skills

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) or Computer Science required.

  • 10+ years of IT leadership and team management.

  • Strategic IT leadership experience in developing and executing defined company and IT goals.

  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate the IT team around innovation, teamwork, continuous improvement, change management, and professional growth.

  • Experience in planning, executing, and delivering IT projects on time and within budget.

  • Leadership experience in enhancing IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, telecommunication, and shared services.

  • In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies, cybersecurity, and industry best practices.

  • Experience managing and reducing IT costs through improved resource allocation.

  • Strong ability to collaborate with vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage third-party services.

  • Experience updating IT support processes to provide high-quality user support and enhanced end-user experience.

  • Experience with compliance, regulations and industry standards.

  • Experience implementing cybersecurity measures to protect company data and assets.

  • High-level of technical infrastructure experience, strong project management acumen, excellent vendor management skill, and a superior service-oriented approach to infrastructure operations.

  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to nontechnical colleagues to enhance understanding.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage colleagues across all levels and departments of the company.

  • Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills

  • Experience with procurement and legal contracts.

  • Requires occasional car and/or air travel to other company locations or client sites.

  • This position requires the candidate/employee to possess and maintain a valid driver's license in their state of residence.
