Expeditor - Onsite - Osceola, AR

Position Description:

The Expeditor works under the direct supervision of a Buyer or Senior Buyer and performs a variety of functions to expedite and coordinate delivery of purchased materials from suppliers based upon scheduled delivery dates and system generated schedules.

This is an onsite position that will last approximately 24 months + based upon client requirements.

Essential Functions:
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Procurement Agent or Senior Procurement Agent.
  • Performs a variety of functions to ensure delivery of purchased materials and equipment from suppliers based upon scheduled delivery dates and system-generated schedules.
  • Interfaces with suppliers, buyers, and internal customers to provide on-time delivery/best date solutions that satisfy Middough's production needs.
  • Generates and analyzes reports, processes purchase requisitions, source and purchase product, and other administrative duties as required.
  • Sets a priority of Safety as paramount in all planning and execution.
  • Uses Middough Advanced Project Procedures (MAPP) as a tool for project implementation and complies with procedural requirements.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience in similar role
  • High School diploma or equivalent GED
  • Experience with data-entry and database applications.  Metals field experience preferred.  
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

In addition:
  • Overtime may be necessary as workloads dictate.  This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
  • The job will generally be performed at the Client's production facility or industrial/construction job site and could last for extended periods of time.
  • May require occasional overnight travel to another client location facility or the home office. 
  • Conditions will vary at each location, but the conditions listed above will generally apply.
  • When working outside Middough's office, appropriate safety training and safety equipment will be provided by Middough and/or Client as required.
